Old Growth Free Markets Intitiaive

Markets Initiative works directly with Canadian companies to develop practical and economic ways to shift their wood and paper use away from ancient and endangered forest products to ecologically sound alternatives. We work through the entire supply chain and stimulate the market demand for alternative products.

Certified Forest Products Council

A not-for-profit initiative. Lists suppliers of FSC certified wood products.

Sustainable Forests Marketplace, an extensive database of certified companies and their products, and information about certification.

The Forest Stewardship Council

The Forest Stewardship Council is introducing an international labelling scheme for forest products, which provides a credible guarantee that the product comes from a well managed forest. All forest products carrying our logo have been independently certified as coming from forests that meet the internationally recognised FSC Principles and Criteria of Forest Stewardship.

Oikos: Green Building Source Energy Efficient Construction Environmentally

Oikos offers information on energy efficiency and environmentally responsible building construction. The site includes a database of 1,800 green building materials, a book store
